Behavior Technicians

Behavior Technicians provide 1:1 therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and/or adults under the supervision of a qualified clinician. Behavior Techs implement individualized treatment plans in order to deliver quality services in various settings, such as the center, community, school, and/or residential facility.

As a Behavior Technician, you will be required to complete and pass a 40-hour online training, competency checklist, and exam, as outlined by the BACB®, to become an Registered Behavior Technician within 90 days of hire. Other requirements for this position include being 18 years of age or older, possess a minimum of a high school diploma, obtain and maintain a first aid/CPR certification, pass a background check, drug screen, and TB test, maintain an RBT certification, possess the ability to lift 50 lbs., have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision, completed experience assisting individuals with challenging or dangerous behaviors, skill deficits, and/or learning deficits, and maintain compliance with the BACB’s® ethical compliance code for RBTs.

It is preferred that a Behavior Technician has completed their Bachelor’s degree in applied behavior analysis, behavioral health, education, occupational therapy, psychology, speech/language pathology or a related field. Other preferences include excellent communication skills, both oral and written, knowledge of computer software systems, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, teamwork abilities, time management skills, as well as work-related and personal references.
